Great question. I think most people don't have as much money to spend on games as they make out sometimes. Personally I've been light on the games this year, I won't be getting Asscreed 2 or Uncharted 2 until after the new year.

I love it when these companies bang out a new IP. It's always nice to see them not confined to one particular franchise until it's ran into the ground.

Saying it has better and more original Boss battles than GoW3 seems like QUITE a bit of praise. Specially considering GoW's boss battles are considered by many to be the creme del la creme of boss battles.

Also Assassins Creed 2 is made by Ubisoft not EA (referring to the article it said AssCreed2 was made by EA).

Great news, maybe now I'll finally finish that level I never completed. It was a bit too ambitious for me and before you know it I got sidetracked and was too lazy to finish it.

Me and 4 of my close buddies have had a sharing account for the last year and some change. Seems like things will have to change now unfortunately.

Gill? No, I'll take Alex and Dudley but I don't know about Alex seeing as Abel is sort of similar to him in being a grapple character. That's not even to mention the rumored Arab grappler. We need more female fighters.

I always preferred Cody with the Prison garb and shank myself.

I could live without Adon being in there but Cody is a nice counterbalance. I'm hoping for Elena to be put in over Ibuki from the 3rd strike cast myself.

I ADORE TF2, I've only played a short 2 day trial on PC and I played the hell out of the Ps3 version and it's my favorite online game ever. It's balanced, just the right pace and the class system is pretty much perfect in my opinion. Maps are just right as well to me, I wish Valve supported the console versions like they do the PC version of the game.

Interesting article but poor context. Number 3 was pretty much the best one and it should have been expanded upon. Marketing was a HUGE strength for MS, Sony stepping up and making their ads less weird and show up more frequently was a good move. Great even because of the charm. Explanations 4,2 and 1 are sketchy in my opinion. Ps2 had great first party games and you can't say the "360 is the only reason the Ps3 seen a price cut this early in the generation". The Wii says "Hi&q...

I'm thinking along the same lines myself. GoW3 in march is just fine. GT5 Sony doesn't even have to worry about when they release it quarter wise because GT fans always pop out of nowhere to swallow that game up. If there's ANY title which could benefit from being delayed I would Say Heavy Rain could benefit the most from being moved into Q2 2010. That's a game in my opinion that would need time to itself to sell well.

You PC guys just keep getting shafted. Didn't they charge $60 for the PC version as well?

I wish I could discuss this more in depth but I haven't played the game. I think if video games are to grow as a entertainment medium things like this will HAVE to be discussed, simply having something like this in a game for s**ts and giggles could be offensive. But from what have been hinted at it serves as some type of purpose in the context of the game. I think this could and should be the next big video game discussion since the original GTA3 showed up in 2001.

His remarks are pretty cheeky and funny in my opinion. Then again most comments from both sides on this whole console debate (formally known as console war) is pretty humorous to me.

My current game collection is split down the middle for current gen games with 8 new ip's and 7 sequels with 2 series reboots (Warhawk/PoP). I would say it's a pretty acute observation by the author of this article. EA is probably more inclined to lean back again on their proven franchises once again but I don't believe they'll full rely on them. I think they have to find a good balance of new IP's with sequels. Last year If I'm not mistaken they released about 3 or 4 new IP's and lowered the...

It seems I'm in the minority way of thinking when it comes to this subject. Justification for buying a game or going to a movie isn't a matter of time investment for me. For me what legitimize my money spent is the quality of entertainment that I experience from it. Personally I don't care if something is short and sweet or long and engaging as long as I feel it has supplied me with apt entertainment then all is fine and well. Would you stop having quickies just because they were short bursts...

Being a huge drum fan my interest has been piqued. I have yet to play one of these so called music/rythem games because well I don't have interest in the music selection for the most part. That and also I have no desire to play the Guitar. If this is done right (badassed DnB in the tracklisting) along with having interesting mechanics I think this could possible be interesting and finally relevant to my interest. But knowing ActiBlizzard the chances of them using niche music as a big sell for...

I have mixed feelings on how the collection version looks. The AA has boosted the character models and objects but the colors and shadows looks faded which I don't like. When all is said and done though this is a great deal for people who own a Ps3 who missed out on the previous GoW games.

MS operates on a weird fiscal calender (Q1 beginning in July) then if that's the case, I'm used to Fiscal years for companies beginning during October (for the Holiday sled) or January. I didn't discredit your claim I was merely questioning if it was projections or the sell through rate to date as I stated above.

Also I did not press disagree, it isn't my style and quite honestly I don't have the time to scour this site like I used to. I usually only give bubbles now either to fu...

Those numbers say Q1 2010 and Q1 2009. Now those Q110 numbers depending on when MS starts and ends their Fiscal calender either with Oct 1st being the beginning of Q1 or Oct being the start of Q4. Those could either be estimates for what they expect to sell through to Q1 (Jan) or their current units moved so far.
